My Medley of Music Theatre

Here is a small medley of some of my early music theatre performances and I thought that they may make your smile 🙂

At this time of year I love to look back and reflect on what a great time I have had over the years. Performing has been a big part of my life so far and I hope that it will be a big part of my future too.

      1. Merry Christmas to you too. Just doing vocal warm ups at the moment, taking it easy on strict instructions from my teacher Kath. Working on compositions instead now I’m sleeping a bit better and my brains off the meds.

    1. It was great fun watching some of these back, the older ones are on a different format so they’re hard to see properly. My brothers in his show on Saturday at Love to Dance can’t wait to see it and Zoe my old teacher.

    1. Ahhhh thanks Jim, that’s so true, I’m definitely out of sorts not being able to sing and go to the end of year concerts it’s been hard :/ but I’m looking forward now.

  1. Reminds me of my young school days playing Oliver… not quite in your league Missy H; I think I killed half the local cat, rat and pigeon population with my warbling that year, lol.

You, on the other hand are a talented little wotsit, and this world is a better place for the music you bring to us heathens. Keep it up, we’re “luvvin’ it” 😀

    1. Cheers Uncle Spice, thanks for offering me a guest post on your blog I was thrilled and it cheered me up to write it ;). I would have put my version of Annie on but I saved you from it lol.
      All the best

      1. No worries. Check your inbox for a query… Oh, and as for Annie, I’ll leave that one to you, never my thing, lol

  2. Marvellous, Charlotte! I love musical theatre–the acting is half the fun in singing! All right, maybe even a little more, especially when I am singing “Anything You Can Do” as a duet with my younger brother. You can see part of it here on YouTube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hiA4IQWGMns–our teacher couldn’t film it all, because he was running out of camera battery!

I wish you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! Keep getting well, and enjoy your family for the holidays!

    Warmest wishes,

    Cate

    1. Hi Stephanie, It’s from Chicago, it’s so hard to not join in the singing I think I did join in a couple of times :). My favourite role was Jemima in Chitty Chitty Bang Bang and later as Truly Scrumptious but I couldn’t find them.

    1. Schools don’t let you tape anymore, it’s so sad because you can’t keep your memories. I have singing exams in January and have started to book some performances for next year. I can’t wait to be in full voice.

    1. Thanks Phillip, I had a bit of a relapse yesterday an allergic reaction to all the meds the GP says, not used to taking anything or being ill, it’s very frustrating for me. I tried to go out to get some presents for family but I had to stop and go home early.
When I watch these videos back it reminds me that I have such a lot to learn but I had a fantastic time growing up doing stuff like this, I appreciate all my parents did to provide these opportunities for us.

      1. I love reminiscing and we always love watching some of the films we’ve done of our children. Its so funny to see how they’ve changed.

Hope you have a healthy Christmas and a bright and successful New Year.

  3. “chicken soup and plenty of rest ” at least, that’s what everyone over here says.

Take care Charlotte, and lest you forget, you have given so much of yourself.
