Midweek Music – My First Solo Recital of 2014

I have been working hard on preparing my essays this week and with my first solo recital of 2014 coming up next Wednesday, the 12th February, I thought it would be a good idea to create a poster for the event 🙂

I have a second lunchtime recital in Bury, Lancashire on Friday, 14th February and I am looking to add a little St Valentine’s Day flair to my poster for that performance 🙂

These recitals should be a great way for me to kick off the 2014 season and I do hope that if any of you can make it to the venue that you will say hello 🙂

    1. Hi Deanie, Southport is a bit of a trek for me too 😉 It’s a classic English seaside resort 20 miles north of Liverpool. I’m hoping that Gill will be able to record a couple of songs for me so that I can review them.

    1. It is a beautiful piece Trisha and quite new to me, so I hope I do the French justice. Elizabeth is a wonderful flautist who studies at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland; she is in her fourth year now.

    1. Thanks Dan, hope you are well  I’ll let you know how it goes I have a busy week next week, two recitals, a competition and a recording with the Tideswell Male Voice Choir. I thought I was in Bridge week next week. So I’m getting a bit of rest this week in preparation.

    1. This will be my first performance with a flautist so that’s exciting. Russell and I have played together several times and that’s always a fun, professional experience for me.

    1. Thanks John, Dad’s experimenting with black and white, but his spiral and circle designs didn’t fit for a church recital, I think he was inspired by the contemporary church windows in Chester Cathedral at the weekend.

      I’d love to perform in the South West we had a holiday in Torquay once and went to the Eden Project and Clovelly happy memories.
