    1. Got the ticket and I’m off, I visited a monastery for 8am mass yesterday to get deeper into my character for my first opera scene, just finished writing a post about it.
All my best wishes for 2018,

  2. I hope 2018 is a wonderful year filled with exciting new adventures and shows. Your star is rising, Charlotte! The world is yours for the taking! Hugs & love 😘

  3. Happy New Year to you and yours Charlotte. It’s been a joy to follow you not only over the past year but several years before, culminating in the wonderful video with you singing – wonderful and I shall return to it again and again, not only a lovely voice but fun too. Have a great year!

      1. That is interesting Charlotte. I went to the opera many times when I lived in Iași and the high school at which I and Petronela taught, and met, took students to the opera; I wonder if George knows that. What he will know for sure is the wonderful Filarmonica and chorus (I always had a season ticket) and perhaps too the Voces string quartet, which performed all the Beethoven string quartets every five years – I managed to catch two of those years – every performance.
Unfortunately now I visit Iași only in the summer so miss the musical seasons. Romania is the most ‘cultured’ country I know and Iași is a major contributor to that; it was wonderful living and teaching there.
Say ‘Bună, succes!’ to George for me.

      2. His brother is an opera singer at the Conservatoire and his sister in law and his other brother is a sound recordist there. I will pass on your message when I see him next week 😊. Check out his website Georgetodica.com.

  4. Happy New Year, Charlotte! Hope to see you sometime soon–let us know when your next opera scenes are, or anything else you’re in around London!

    Best regards,

    Cate

    1. 😄 fingers crossed, family down time included lots of board games thanks to Matt 😳 football catch up with Tom and lots of walking. We were treated to tickets to see Matthew Bournes’ Cinderella and The Theatre Royal’s 42nd Street which we all loved, I bought new ribbons for my tap shoes I was so inspired after the show 😁.

    1. Thanks so much Linda. I was getting into character for my first opera scene this year and discovered on Friday afternoon that there was a carmelite monastery in London and after reading the fascinating website went to morning mass yesterday so that’s my first post of the year. Great start to the year.
      Best wishes
