The Journey Continues: “Red Kite Flying” Through Pascal Barnier’s Vision

In the ever-unfolding tapestry of artistic collaboration, where music meets visual art, magic happens. The journey of “Red Kite Flying,” a song that has captivated our hearts and echoed the spirit of freedom, takes a new flight as it merges with the visionary artistry of my good friend, Pascal Barnier. This collaboration is a testament to the boundless possibilities that arise when creative souls unite, and I am beyond thrilled to share the fruits of this partnership with you.

Pascal, an artist whose work transcends the ordinary to touch the sublime, has always had a unique ability to visualise music. His art captures the essence of melodies, translating them into visual narratives that enchant the viewer. When Pascal listened to “Red Kite Flying,” a piece deeply rooted in the themes of resilience and liberation, he was inspired to create a video that encapsulates the song’s profound message.

The process of bringing this vision to life was a journey of its own. Pascal’s artistry, combined with the audio recording of “Red Kite Flying” — sung by myself and beautifully accompanied by my husband, George Todica — has resulted in a multimedia experience that elevates the song to new heights. This video is not just a visual representation of the song; it is a storytelling masterpiece that draws you into the world of the red kite, inviting you to soar alongside it through the vastness of the sky and the depth of human emotion.

In creating this video, Pascal demonstrated the link between music and visual art, each informing and enriching the other. Pascal’s creative genius brought a new dimension to “Red Kite Flying,” infusing it with imagery that captures the imagination and transports the viewer on a journey of discovery.

I am proud to share this video with you to celebrate artistic collaboration. It reminds us of the power of friendship and creativity to transcend boundaries and create something truly unique and impactful.

As you watch this video, may you feel the uplift of the red kite’s wings, the embrace of the music, and the vibrancy of Pascal’s art? Let it be a reminder that even in the face of challenges, we possess the strength to rise, to fly, and to find beauty in the world around us.

Thank you for joining us on this journey. Until our next artistic adventure, may you keep soaring, exploring, and discovering the endless possibilities that await.

Charlotte, your voice rises, soars and falls like a kite with this avant garde music. George’s piano is filled with passion and danger. Pascal has made a most beautiful video, really wonderful and perfect for the song.
    I am awed… and entertained.
Thank you all for this special and spectacular work of music and art!

    1. Thank you my friend, you are too kind. Pascal and I met blogging and he designed my first three album covers for me. The song was recommended to me by one of my vocal coaches at the Royal College of Music Simon Lepper for a competition entry a few years ago.

  4. A beautiful collaboration, Charlotte, George and Pascal. You wrote ” Let it be a reminder that even in the face of challenges, we possess the strength to rise, to fly, and to find beauty in the world around us.” Thank you for that reminder, too.

    1. Absolutely Lavinia, I know a lot of people with challenges in the arts but you just have to find the silver linings and look for positives. Find ways to use your skills to make you feel fulfilled and pay the bills.
