Day 4 of my Italian adventure

mercatelelarge

Tuesday 18th,   we left the villa at 6pm and travelled into Mercatale and performed for a large crowd on the Piazza around 9:15pm, this is a change of pace for me because I’m normally an early bird and everything happens so late out here.  Singing on uneven cobbles was a challenge 🙂

We received bravis (loud and raucous applause).  One lucky elderly lady loved every second as she was serenaded by Jonathan Kennedy as she watched from her balcony, which created a fabulous atmosphere.  Everyone was up for a party when we got back to the villa, like I said this is a complete change of pace for me.

Wednesday 19th,   is a rest day, we are planning a five course pasta meal later.  I’m going to get a bit of sun but I’m so pale I have to be really careful, factor 50 lotion.  Time to learn some new lyrics for summer shows, I’ve decided I’m not very good at resting.

Tonight’s Menu:

Melon, Parma ham, and salami,
Canapés
Hot baguette toasted with peppered mince and tomato puree
A mysterious pate (possibly mushroom)
Cheese and potato ravioli and basil with an olive oil dressing.
Spinach and ricotta cannelloni
Flavoured lasagne type pasta

Plenty of vegetables to keep my parents happy  🙂

The group relaxing just after we arrived in the town 🙂
