I hope that you have all had a wonderful Christmas Day 🙂 I have had a delightful day just chilling out with my family.
We got to talking about how I should start to build up my singing practice and my Mum and I came up with what we think is a great idea.
I am going to perform the “Twelve Days of Christmas” here at home, one day at a time. This will let me break back in gently and at the same time give me a small project to focus on.
Then we discussed how I could bring the idea together and make it into something a little more fun 🙂
So we agreed that I should draw a little picture to go with each day of the song.
Here is today’s :

Then we discussed how best to involve all my friends from my blog, Facebook, Google+ and Twitter. I thought it would be fun to put all the names of those who comment on my posts over the course of the twelve days into a draw, The person that we select at random from those who comment will win the twelve pictures and a CD of the final song and a copy of the video.
I thought that this would be a wonderful way to say thank you to everyone who has provided me with their support to continue along my journey and inspired me follow my dreams.
What an awesome idea! Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to you and your family!
Great Idea, Charlotte! I’d love to be a part of your healing! Count me in!
Hugs from NZ, Lizzi
Wonderful! You are such a beautiful person and phenomenal singer! Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you all!
Fun, practical, and built in social support! Excellent! I love the first day! 🙂
What a lovely partridge, and a lovely idea to share your drawings with us. Even lovelier is your voice. Thank you!
Oh how fun!! And I love your partridge too!
What a cute idea! She sings, she writes, and she’s an artist!! Glad to hear you’ve had a wonderful Christmas day and that you’re on the mend. Blessings to you and yours!
A nice idea.
Is there a fine art in which you’re not a gem? Every time I think I’ve seen your repertoire, you surprise me with yet another facet that is beautiful. Your rendering of a partridge in a pear tree is worthy of album art! Wishing you a continued speedy path to wellness and normalcy.
Your art could be a calender for the months culminating of course in December.
Or framed and hung in any gallery.
Pardon me whilst I stare in awe and admiration. 🙂
OMG I love it and you are beautiful inside and out!!
Ha what a great idea! Day one sounded lovely 🙂
Very nice. , charming and nice.
Clever idea. Please count me in as a partner in your healing! Xo

Nice idea, and cool artwork too Missy H 🙂
Great idea, Charlotte. You are so creative. Love the picture too. Onwards and upwards, dear friend.

Count me in Charlotte. Absolutely love it! Want to win it! Lots of love xxxx
These pictures would make a nice book! Sue
That’s a fine piece of work, the partridge in the tree. Count me in on the draw.
Hi Carolyn, I certainly will, I’ll start entering everyone’s names each day soon or it will be a big job at the end of the twelve days 😉
Best wishes
Charlotte
Glad to see you on the mend. Great idea and great song to use for it.
How fun. You must have the coolest family ever. 😀 Stay well.
Now that is a fun idea. 😀 Sounds like you’re already well on the mend. Looking forward to the next installment! 🙂
You and your Mum are treasures! Count me in as a member of your tribe. And say hello to the Partridge in a Pear Tree.
Ooohh, I want the prize! Let’s skip the draw and just tell everyone you picked my name. I never win those kinds of things…
But if I do win, I’ll give you one hundred T of V points, redeemable for…I don’t know yet. A future 1st edition maybe?
Anyway, Merry Christmas Charlotte! Talk to you later….
Lol. I haven’t even done a set for myself he he, mind you I can never do the same drawing twice. Last night I thought ‘ohh I should have put a bit of glitter on’ I need to make sure the golden rings are golden today 😉
All the best Dylan,
Charlotte
I have just discovered your blog Charlotte and I think its great. I’ve already added it to the list of “Other good blogs” on http://www.tgrworzels.blogspot.com You’ve gone straight into the charts, so to speak…
I’ll follow some of the links from this site to the other bloggers that you interact with. Hopefully I’ll find a good few more to add…!
Hope your recovery is coming along well. Thank you for sharing your creativeness. This made me want to give you a picture of a “tui in a flax bush” I recently took. Keep getting better, and bringing the gift of music into peoples’ lives.

It’s really great that you started you practice as soon as possible and thanks for making us a part of your journey. 😀 It’s really amazing that you draw so beautifully as well. I used to have a drawing teacher in my childhood who used to force me to draw trees everyday. 😉 and finally I gave up 😛
A great idea, and made so much better in that your artwork is amazing as well (although your voice still carries the day!).
