2021 is a year that we will all remember for many different reasons. Just as we were adjusting to the new normal our lives were turned upside down by the resurgence of Covid-19 and in the UK lockdowns in January and February. The first normal month was August and fortunately, it was in time for my personal highlight of 2021 my marriage to my best friend, George, and so for me, however difficult 2021 was it will always have a special place in my heart.

In the Arts during 2021 it was difficult, as it was across many walks of life, and trying to get to grips with the limited oportunities was quite daunting. I found comfort here on my blog from the many friends that I have found over the years, friends that gave me support, guidance, and brought many a smile to my face.

During the year my blog and it’s post’s were read all around the world, friends from 144 Countries dropped by and spent a little time reading, watching, and listening to what was shared. I read with interest each and every comment and I do hope that I managed to reply to you all, as I do so appreciate the time that you all take being a part of my community of friends.

In all I had 31,762 visitors and I thought that I would share with you the ten most popular posts that were read by my visitors. Maybe there may be some that you may have missed.

As we now look forward to what 2022 has to offer I wanted to wish you all good health, happiness and that I hope 2022 brings with it something good for each and everyone of you.

Thank you for being part of my Community 🙂

  1. Magnificent group! 2022 just may fool you.
(every time I get tired of staying home or breathing behind a mask – I think of what the possible alternative might be.)

    1. You are quite correct GP, best look at what good has come out of it, the positives, and not focus on negatives.

    1. I love that song too, my first singing teacher taught it to me when I was fourteen – I’m still working on it now but it is not my vocal fach so I don’t get to use it too often.

  2. Lovely memories from the last year.
My very favourite your wedding day, beautiful photographs.
All of the concerts on your balcony were great, lots of lovely times this year amongst the horrible pandemic.xx

    1. I bought Mum an album for Christmas you should ask her to bring it to show you. They turned out excellent photo quality.

We did enjoy the balcony concerts; I know many of the neighbours did too. Thank you for tuning in each week.

    1. Thank you very much. It was a slow performance start with so much locked down and outdoor, so it didn’t feel like much, but I managed to keep busy. I’m hoping things start opening back up again soon.

  3. Fun going through these. I see what you mean about some old ones – I think Rusalka was from before I had “met” you (yours was one of the first blogs I followed, but it was around Christmas 2013 when I found it). Fun to see you and George working together 7 years ago. Also, I knew I had commented on the TV show you were on, even if I missed the “like”. But it was funny that in reply to one of my comments you mentioned doing some show pieces, and then a little farther down the list I found Éponine. I hope you have a wonderful 2022!

    1. I was surprised some of these old posts were in the top views, but it is good to look back on them. Most of the shows I did at school and Saturday theatre club were musical theatre, and I love the songs from the shows. I always enjoyed performing in Tideswell Male Voice Choir shows at Gawsworth Hall happy memories, I lost a few of my choir friends over the past few years, such great men. I hope you have a fabulous year ahead too.

  4. Charlotte, Happy New Year to you and George! All the best in 2022! Hopefully a return to safer condition. Great list! Glad you had done so many meaningful projects even during pandemic.

    1. Thank you, Arti. I appreciate your best wishes. I hope things do get back to normal safely of course.

  5. Wishing you and George all good things in 2022! It was nice to be able follow the links and see some of your posts and hear songs from across the years. Some were new to me, others I had seen previously. I first learned about your blog from Clare Pooley some years back, and it has been a joy watching your career progress. 💓

    1. Thats lovely Lavinia thank you for your message, Clare has been a blog friend of mine for quite a while now. I always enjoy reading her posts and viewing her photographs and hearing of her daughters. I was really surprised when some of the old posts came out as top 10 views I think perhaps students learning the songs sometimes catch them on a google search.

I’m surprised at how many posts I missed. Still, some were before we met.
