With my trip to Salzburg behind me it is time to start the preparations and rehearsals for my upcoming performance of Cathy in the world premiere of ‘Brontë’. The opera composed by Lisa Logan and adapted from a play written by Polly Teale.
I do love the rehearsal process, the moment when you bring the music and character to life is quite exhilarating. Being part of the creation is rewarding in itself but knowing that at the end of all the hard work we get to share our interpretation of the opera with the audience always makes me tingle.
For this project I will be working with Katharina Kastening, the Director, Alex Ingram, the Conductor, Lisa Logan, the Composer and my fellow cast members: Elena Garrido Madrona, Ben Thapa, Grace Nyandoro, Anna Marmion, Magdalena Mannion, Biraj Barkakaty, and Martin Lamb.
