Our Day Went Without A Hitch

I am so pleased to share with you all that after three postponements due to the pandemic George and I finally tied the knot last Saturday, the 28th of August 2021. Coincidentally it happened to be George’s birthday so now he has no excuse should he forget our anniversary.


The very next day we had to say our goodbyes as I had to drive back up to Glasgow for the next stage of my Scottish Opera tour, but actually, it is such a relief to be working again after the pandemic. But fingers crossed George is going to come up to see me this weekend 🙂


This is a candid picture that my Dad managed to take and I can’t wait until the official pictures come through so that I can share a couple more of them with you all.

      1. I was going to say the old cliché that “you are an honest woman now”, but I can’t see how you could ever be dishonest. August has been a busy month with people getting married after having to postpone their matrimony for a year. I know several couples who finally got hitched in August. I went to a memorial at a hotel ballroom for a friend who passed away in May. There were so many wedding receptions going all the parking spaces were filled at the hotel. I had to park my little sports car in a giant RV parking spot.

    1. Hello Gwen, I am so glad that we waited. The atmosphere on the day was electric and we felt truly loved. The timing was perfect as George’s parents and brothers were able to travel safely from Romania, allowing us to be surrounded by loved ones. What more could you ask for!
