Gothic Opera – Full Steam Ahead

I had a fantastic week rehearsing with Gothic Opera. It has been full steam ahead, culminating in a Stagger Run of Le Loup-garou yesterday. (A stagger run is usually the first run of the show in order of events).  In this week’s blog post, I will share with you some wonderful shots captured by Nick Rutter during the rehearsal process. I hope they spark your imagination and entice you to come and see the show live at the end of the month.

    1. Cheers John, I always like to share photos but often in rehearsal if someone else doesn’t take them I don’t get an opportunity to.

    1. Thank you Sheila, I’d love the opportunity to work in the States, not many opportunities advertised at the moment sadly. I hope that little Ella enjoyed her birthday, I bet you both spoilt her rotten 😊.

  2. It’s so interesting to see behind the scenes. To see some of the hard work you all put in to give us, the audience, a beautiful professional result. Fabulous! 🥰👏👏😘

    1. Unposed photography show frozen moments that I otherwise wouldn’t see, I enjoy them and I’m glad you did too.

  3. Nice photos, Charlotte. And you showed the mark of a true professional by leading off with the photo of the stage manager…the hardest working behind-the-scenes person in any production.

    1. You know I always support the behind the scenes people Don, I love every aspect of the arts, if people only knew how many people go into every show!

  4. I guess it is never to early to practice for a role as Lady Macbeth as one can see from your last photo,

Kidding aside, these are pictures of yourself and coworkers in nonperformative situations. Degas was known for these, and you mentioned him before. Best to you, as I know you will be “exceller sans precedent.”
