Focus on Family: A Perfect Getaway for All Ages

If you are looking for a family-friendly destination that caters to all your needs, Naturhotel Forsthofgut is an ideal choice from what I saw. With its diverse range of amenities and activities, this spa resort ensures that every family member, regardless of age, has a fantastic time.

Naturhotel Forsthofgut offers free, professional childcare services seven days a week from 09:00 am to 09:00 pm for children aged 2 and above. While the children are engaged in exciting activities, parents can unwind and recharge, knowing that their little ones are in good hands. I have used the hotels images because I didn’t want to get permissions from the children’s parents that I witnessed having good fun.

The kids’ club at the hotel offers an array of fun-filled activities that cater to various interests. From feeding Rocky and his deer family in the nature reserve to art classes in the Art Studio, children can explore their creativity while making cherished memories. There were some art activities I wanted to take part in, one was painting on large pebbles and another one was making wooden art. There was face painting, cinema clubs for teens, and disco nights add to the excitement, creating an atmosphere of joy and camaraderie.

The hotel’s Water World is another family favourite, boasting two family-friendly pools, a baby pool, and a children’s pool. Safety is a top priority, and the hotel provides the option to request a swimming instructor to ensure children play safely in the water. The waldSPA Family & Kids area features not one but three exhilarating slides: a mini slide in the baby pool, a slide in the children’s pool, and the thrilling 70-meter-long giant slide in the children’s water world. Endless hours of splashing fun await the entire family. My Mum said she wished she’d known about this when we were younger.

Being a family run hotel they have thought about lots of extra touches, for parents with newborns, the hotel has thoughtfully designed a parent-child room, a haven where you can play and cuddle with your little one. Worried about nighttime fussiness? The room is accessible 24/7, providing a comforting space to soothe, entertain, and feed your child.

The baby package at Naturhotel Forsthofgut offers even more convenience for young families. Access to buggies or baby carriers for excursions ensures that exploring the surrounding nature is effortless and enjoyable.

For horse enthusiasts, the hotel’s stable features an indoor and outdoor riding arena, offering riding experiences for all ages. In Austria, they say, “All the happiness on earth can be found on the back of a horse.” What better way to bond with your loved ones and create unforgettable moments than through equestrian adventures together?

One of the most precious gifts we can give our loved ones is quality time spent together. Naturhotel Forsthofgut understands this, and strikes the perfect harmony by offering a wide range of activities, creative outlets, spa time, sports, and exceptional cuisine. Such a holiday not only strengthens family bonds but also provides an opportunity for personal growth and rejuvenation.

Mental health professionals often emphasise the significance of spending time in nature and engaging in physical activities to reduce stress and improve overall well-being. It is often said that combining time in nature with activities fosters mental and emotional resilience. A family holiday at Naturhotel Forsthofgut allows you to immerse yourselves in the beauty of the Austrian Alps while participating in various invigorating activities, offering holistic benefits for all.

So, why not embark on a rejuvenating journey with your family at Naturhotel Forsthofgut? From thrilling adventures to relaxing spa moments, delectable cuisine to quality family time, this exceptional destination promises an unforgettable experience that will leave you with cherished memories for a lifetime.

    1. It was John, I had to get up early to go around taking a lot of the photos so that I didn’t catch holiday makers children in the photos and videos, fortunately I just stayed on British time which is an hour behind.

      1. My understanding is that we have Greenwich Mean Time is the yearly average (or ‘mean’) of the time each day when the Sun crosses the Prime Meridian at the Royal Observatory Greenwich which is near where I live. I looked this up so Im accurate the Greenwich Meridian separates east from west in the same way that the Equator separates north from south. It is an imaginary line which runs from the North Pole to the South Pole and passes through England, France, Spain, Algeria, Mali, Burkina Faso, Togo, Ghana and Antarctica.

In Summer we have our clocks go back to British Summer Time so we spring forward one hour at the end of March (and lose one hours sleep, it is said the number of heart attacks raise the following day or two) then we fall back one hour at the end of October, it was done in the war to save energy to have longer lighted days.

      2. Wow, that is very sumitro our rolling the clock forward and backwards. Spring ahead, fall backwards is the reminder. I would love to see the area you mentioned, Charlotte! Most of us here want to do away with Daylight Saving Time, it serves no purpose today. Thanks for this! 🤙🏻❤️🇬🇧☺️

      3. It is discussed here too John but a lot of people would prefer to keep daylight saving right through the year and not fall back an hour so its lighter on the way home. In Scotland in December it sometimes used to start going dark at 3:30 in the afternoon.

    1. There were plenty of families there, I just got up very early to record the video and take photos so I didn’t disturb anyone. So much for children to do there, I would have loved it as a child, there was a trampoline and climbing wall that I trialled too 😆 I even squeezed my way into the child sized chalet.

    1. Your grandchildren and family would love it for a family vacation. It felt very healthy and fulsome. I’ve enjoyed your posts on Harry Belafonte I hadn’t known much about it until your series.

    1. I didn’t Timothy, my friends in Primary school used to ride regularly and had a birthday party in their stables one year and that was the only time I got to ride, to be honest horses scare me a little, I love the idea of riding though.

    1. I wish you could visit it too with your grandchildren. Maybe a European vacation beckons with a stop over in London on the way so we could meet in person 😊.

  1. From what I have seen in your posts, Naturhotel Forsthofgut is a wonderful place.

I agree, horses are a happiness animal. I had a friend/acquaintance who, after many years, left the film industry. Due to the stress and pressure of production, she had a breakdown of sorts. She took the money she had saved, and started a small place in the country with a few horses.
It is for battered women who are recovering from a bad life. It seems when around horses life is affirmed and healing ensues.

Charlotte, you have sang the praises of Naturhotel Forsthofgut. I hope they appreciate you! They should give you a free 3 day stay!!
    All my best,

    1. What a marvellous idea to create a sanctuary for women, I’m so happy that in that case the theories worked and hope your friend has a happy life as a result of her foresight.

I have always been a bit cautious around animals and I would have had a couple of lessons had I been there longer, I’ve never been skiing either so have never been to a resort like this, I bet its amazing in the winter.

I was only asked to do one post but I was so genuinely impressed by the spa hotel and had such a good time that I wanted to share the experience with my friends here.

      Best wishes Resa,
      Charlotte 💕

    1. Thank you Lauren, they took me a while to figure out how to do it, but they went down very well on facebook, the five reels reached 1.7 million views, a couple of the reels were favourites, it has been interesting to learn how to do them. Good luck with your new book too. I adore your poetry.
