  1. Hello Charlotte, welcome to the blog Mo-Ments or Idle Thoughts and may this lead you to other awareness. Do you ever wonder why you are doing what you are doing? Read The Milk Is White (etc.) for the purpose of life; you may even find that it spurs you on 🙂
All the best in your endeavours.

    1. Thank you for your best wishes Ian, I always knew that I wanted to live an artistic, creative life, its where I get the most enjoyment from. People talked to me in High School about safety nets of academic endeavour because I worked hard to achieve top grades in all my subjects, but some of these subjects, such as Physics and English literature were very, very hard work and zapped my energy. I like goals and something to focus on though.
      All the best to you,
      Charlotte

    1. Ola Angeline, thank you for visiting my blog, I’m just back from a long weekend in Scotland getting my room ready to move into. My Dad is now an expert at putting together IKEA furniture 🙂

  2. Hi Charlotte. Thanks for stopping by Intrepid Tales on Insulin.

I spent many months in Scotland (mainly Edinburgh as my base) when I did the Australian rite of passage backpacking work holiday thing some years ago. Saw in the millennium there for Hogmannay. Fun times!

I’m curious about how you and your readers would respond to my question about a unique Word for Your Year. It could be current or projecting ahead to 2014. One important word, with a sentence or three to explain your choice.

    Details at http://intrepidtalesoninsulin.wordpress.com/2013/08/15/the-year-of-indulgence/

    cheers, Nat

    1. Hi Nat, my word for 2013 would be ‘Year of Foundation’. My reason for foundation is that I have been establishing myself from ground level building supportive friendships, musical education structures at the RCS, living apart from family, and budgeting.

      Best wishes

  4. HI Charlotte, thanks so much for following my blog! You have a beauuuuuuutiful voice. I have always wanted to sing but I was not blessed with such a gift ( i’m a shower singer).

    1. Hi Latashia, thank you for your lovely comments, I noticed on your blog you enjoy reading novels by Stephen King my brother does too, mind you his favourite is Darren Shan an Irish author. Good luck with your writing.

      All the best

  5. Hi Heather,

Thanks for following JaPlanning – have you ever been to Japan as a holiday or to sing? It’s very nice.

I used to play classical piano and jazz trumpet but let it all go – some days when I see passion like yours I regret it! Do you play any other instruments?

    .K.

  6. Dear Charlotte. I am honored that you can even find the time to follow my blog. I viewed your entire profile, and I can say , if I was 40 years younger, I’d be kneeling at your door with flowers. Your soprano voice is breathtaking and your facial & hand gestures mimic your emotions and lyrics beautifully. My best wishes to your successes, and I wish I could travel to hear you sing, but my health denies me that pleasure. Thank you for your dedication to the arts, as I once taught music in my younger years to many children. I see you have a great number of followers and that is terrific Take care & good luck with your studies. Respectfully,
    Emery Buziak Sr.
    Me (eM)

    1. Hello Emery, thank you for your lovely compliment it made me smile. I have allergies to many metals, they make my skin green and itch and if I push them through my ear lobes it makes them sore and red followed by the familiar green tinge. I find I can wear some costume jewellery but only for a short time, I don’t have any problems with gold 🙂 Did you teach certain instruments or general music programs? Do you still play or write music?

      Best wishes

  7. Hi Charlotte!
Thought I would stop by and say thanks for the visit and the follow! Your Les Mis post caught my eye as it is my favourite musical. I’m also very jealous that you got to perform For Good. It’s such an amazing song! All the best in your performance career – it’s what I would do for a living too if it didn’t require talent! 🙂 x

    1. Hi Jo, Thanks for stopping by and your lovely words. I love all of the songs from ‘Wicked’, I nearly sang ‘Popular’ as my solo in the show. Your journeys are amazing too, Angkor looks amazing.

  8. Hello Charlotte, I wish you well as your career expands and I hope there is much joy in the journey for you. Thank you for visiting and following Deep Souldiving.

    1. I’m glad my blog made you smile. I can’t imagine what you’re going through I cry on the train back to college every trip, my parents have to tell me to pull myself together 🙂 I hope this next year gets a bit better for you.

      All my best wishes
      Charlotte

  9. I have a proposition for you. On my blog (www.ourpersonaljourney.wordpress.com) I have section called “Other people’s Journey” where I feature other people or blogs. I would like to offer you the opportunity to write your journey(it does not have to be weight related – any journey where you start at one place and are heading or reached a different place and what you learned) for my blog. It would come with a link to your website. Let me know what you think, and you can check out what others have written.

    1. Hi Bree, I have had a lovely day today thank you; I had a concert in Rochdale, Lancashire, which is north of Manchester. Caitlin, a friend of mine from school came with her Mum to watch, Dennis and Helen Kay came along to listen which was lovely, Tim Kennedy a accompanist who I’d sung with at several music festivals was there and my heart beat a bit faster when I saw John Powell in the audience as John is a festival adjudicator (judge).

  10. Hi Charlotte, I tried to reply earlier, but somehow it disappeared. To answer your query, I was hired to teach at 17y/o in a private music school owned by an individual. It was to give music lessons to kids on an accordion. I taught that and music theory to the kids, both privately & as a group band atmosphere. All the other instructors were much older (30’s & up). I was hired because I put together an octet for a concert for parents who were already had kids being taught in that school. We were just a segment of the concert. I arranged and transposed all the music to Herb Albert’s, Lonely Bull, & Tijuana Taxi. I was hired right after because of that. I had a small 3 piece group myself (Those Guys), a terrific tenor sax player (also played the flute) and a great drummer. We played mostly dance music. However, I was 19 when I left for the Navy (1970, Viet Nam era) and my kids knew more music theory than all the other instructors. The instructors had a hard time teaching after that….lol. I don’t play anymore, as my fingers developed Polymyalgia Rheumatica. I even had to stop playing my guitar. However, I enjoy all types of music genre from classical to rap. So if you ever get the time to write, as I know you have so much of leisure time (just kidding), please keep in touch. I am happy to hear I made you smile… I did some stand-up comedy in my day…..I’ll tell you at another time if you wish. I’ve done a lot of things. My home email directly is: buzzard33@comcast.net. So good luck with your studies and keep in touch,
    Yours,
    Emery – Me (eM)

    1. Hello Emery,

Thank you for answering my query, your reply was really interesting. I have a close friend called Olivia and she plays the accordion too. Group music theory lessons with a good teacher are marvellous. It sounds like you were a great teacher. Your point about collaborating is very important to me and was one of my main reasons for choosing the RCS from the offers I had. Working together with people always takes you down interesting learning paths. Hope you can come back again. 🙂

      Best Wishes,
      Charlotte

You have a beautiful voice as so many others have said and I’m looking forward to hear more of it, I listen to just about everything and my mum taught me and my brother to listen to the classics too. My favourite of all is Die Zauberflöte (I don’t know the english name for it) that I heard as a 10 yr old. Will also follow your blog with great interest.

    1. Hi Anna, I didn’t hear much classical music at home but I love the Magic Flute, I saw a film about Mozart called Amadeus and it featured this song.
